Novara, January 29 – The 600 employees at Esseco Group’s facilities in Piedmont, Tuscany, Lombardy, and Veneto will continue to benefit fully from the 5 percent salary increase for the first half of 2024, granted by the ownership to all employees in 2023 in addition to the national agreements. Although there was the possibility of offsetting this increase with the advance of the contractual tranche of the Minimum Economic Treatment (TEM), decided in the framework of negotiations between Federchimica and the unions, Esseco Group has announced its decision not to reduce the increases already established. The industrial group, headquartered in Trecate (Novara), with the goal of supporting workers during this particularly difficult time, has thus decided to maintain the already granted 5 percent increase for its workers, regularly disbursing from January the advance of the contractual increase initially scheduled for July.
“Being close to our workers and their families is a fundamental prerogative for us,” says Francesco Nulli, CEO of Esseco Group, a privately-held family-run industrial group that has been providing products and services in the chemical and oenological sectors for over a century, present in 18 countries worldwide, with about 1,350 employees and a turnover of over 850 million euros. “For this reason, we are strongly committed to continuing to support them to face this period of widespread inflation that creates a situation of difficulty. Thanks to farsighted investment policies in the energy sector carried out in recent years, which have allowed us to contain costs while remaining competitive despite unattractive market prospects,” he explains, “we can maintain the 5 percent salary increase, in addition to the agreements signed at the national level, effectively guaranteeing an additional increase starting from the current month of January.”
The additional economic outlay will not impact other corporate policies planned by Esseco Group to protect and support workers and the communities to which they belong. The Group has a presence in Italy with plants and operational offices in San Martino di Trecate in the province of Novara (Esseco Srl and Enartis), in San Cipriano Po in the Province of Pavia (Esseco Srl), in Saline di Volterra in the province of Pisa (Altair Chemical), in Pieve Vergonte in the Province of Verbano Cusio Ossola (Altair Chemical), and in Pramaggiore in the province of Venice (Ever Srl).
