The constant search for innovation in production processes, with the concrete undertaking of the energy and environmental transition, is at the heart of the first Sustainability Report drafted by Esseco Srl.
“Our energy transition policies date back to 1987, thanks to the foresight of the Nulli family who shaped our DNA, starting with the installation of the first 1.3 MW steam turbine, followed by a second one in 2001 with a capacity of 5.4 MW,” states Giuseppe Falsiroli, CEO of Esseco Srl. “In 2018, we launched a methane cogeneration unit for the production of energy and steam (1.2 MW), and in recent years, we have begun to focus on photovoltaic energy, laying the groundwork for installations both on production sites and in other areas, but always in service of the company’s industrial productions.”
This first Sustainability Report not only highlights the numerous corporate and product certifications but also showcases various activities related to research and development initiatives started to ensure safety and innovation along the entire production chain, as well as the consistent attention to the local area through ongoing support for local sports, cultural, and community organizations.
“As an energy-intensive company, we are primarily focusing our efforts on responsible energy consumption in order to increase the proportion produced from renewable sources,” explains Falsiroli. “We aim to reduce emissions into the atmosphere by applying the best available technologies and developing innovative projects that will allow us to decrease our environmental impact, including increasingly effective management of water resources. Lastly, we will continue to ensure that our employees have a workplace that adheres to the highest standards of health and safety, with positive repercussions for the local community, which,” concludes the CEO of Esseco Srl, “can rely on the continuation of philanthropic activities strongly supported by our shareholders, such as the project to build a gym accessible also to people with disabilities.”
